Fergal has been going to Lourdes for the last 26 years as a helper and is really looking forward to participating in the charity cycle to raise funds for the Limerick Lourdes Invalid Fund in the 150th anniversary of the apparitions.

He lives in Limerick and is married to Phil and they have one daughter Ciara. Fergal works with the Clare People Newspaper  in Ennis. During his 26 year tenure as a helper in Lourdes  Fergal has provide the musical entertainment for Invalids and pilgrims alike. He has been known to provide a great nights entertainment without even playing a note on the piano. Fergal is looking forward to this challenge and sees it as a personal milestone for someone of his era.

Fergal has participated in many Charity cycles being the principal organizer of the Limerick Leader Charity cycle for many years.

Fergal will be bringing additional supplies of Lithium batteries to keep him going and his mobile phone during the cycle and during the week of the Pilgrimage.
